THE COMBINE OF LIFE FOOTBALL CLINIC
Since our inception, Five Star Heart has been the Lehigh Valley’s pioneer in providing the country’s most dynamic, inspirational one-day football clinic in the country The Combine of Life Football Clinic. The Navy Football Brotherhood along with a host of collegiate football players, friends, & family members UNITE to provide middle school youth from across the Lehigh Valley and beyond with a few 5-Star Heart hours of football, spirited competition, and a 5-Star Heart Message. Over the years, our clinic has provided over 1,500 kids with a day that they will always remember. The clinic includes:
Superior football instruction, non-stop skills & drills, flag football, and 1 vs 1’s
Sprints to raise awareness and money for another non-profit of IMPACT
Team speed sled relay race among middle school student athletes for trips and/or apparel and football equipment
The FINISH Scholarship Presentation / The Ed Favors Scholarship Presentation
A Five Star Heart Message
THE FINISH SCHOLARSHIP
Since 2018, Five Star Heart has donated over $2,000 to local non-profit organizations and presented over $7,000 in scholarships. Named in appreciation of former Navy Defensive Coordinator Buddy Green whose word of choice “FINISH” was engrained in his players throughout his tenure, The FINISH Scholarship is presented an 8th grade student athlete who has participated in 5-Star Heart’s activities (clinics, trips, mentor program, strength & conditioning), pursued a level of excellence in the classroom, and showcased the most HEART on and off the field of athletic competition. Those individuals are only rewarded with their scholarship funding upon acceptance to a local community college, trade school, or four-year college / university in their senior year of high school.
Xavier Ramos (Broughal Middle School 2018) - Went on to attend King’s College in 2022
Jordan Bartholomew (Nitschmann Middle School 2019) - Went on to attend The United States Coast Guard Academy in 2023
Jaiden Diaz (South Mountain Middle School 2019) - Went on to attend Penn State University Lehigh Valley in 2023
Brian Sebring (Lehighton Area Middle School 2022) - TBD
Jariel Infante (Broughal Middle School 2023) - TBD
THE ED FAVORS SCHOLARSHIP
In 2023, The Ed Favors Scholarship was established in memory of the late Ed Favors, a genuine, humbled man and passionate coach whose dedication to serving the next generation was unparalleled. The scholarship is awarded to a well-rounded, deserving Allentown School District graduating senior student athlete who has been accepted to a four-year college / university in their senior year.
Jharon Johnson (William Allen High School 2023) - Went on to attend West Chester University
Mekhi Ashby (Dieruff High School 2024) - Went on to attend Millersville University
